CITRUS COUNTY DEMOCRATIC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE (DEC) ANNOUNCES

GRAND OPENING OF HEADQUARTERS


Lecanto, Florida. December 28, 2021 - The Citrus County Democrats are pleased to announce the celebration of the grand opening of their headquarters, located at 1645 W. Gulf to Lake Highway in Lecanto, will occur on January 22, 2022 from 10am to 2pm. The celebration will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, refreshments and door prizes.


Their new office space includes space for volunteers to work on projects, contact voters and a small meeting space for local Democratic organizations. Having a physical presence in the County provides a space for local Democrats to pick up literature, signs and receive information about the upcoming elections.


Bob Madeiros, Chair of the Citrus DEC said “2022 will be an important year for our party and we’re energized to work to help elect Democrats up and down the ticket. Bringing our country’s infrastructure into the 21st century through the Infrastructure Act and passing other important legislation that included the Child Tax Credit, that benefits many Citrus County families were key parts of the success of Democrats in Washington in 2021”



About the Citrus DEC:

The Citrus County DEC is responsible for managing the affairs of the Florida Democratic Party (FDP) within the county. Membership of the DEC includes elected Precinct Committeemen and Committeewomen who represent the registered voters of their precinct.


Citrus County Democrats strive to eliminate voter suppression, enhance public education, establish a living wage for workers, advocate for social justice and preserve Social Security and Medicare for senior citizens.
