Joe Adams has experience and knowledge serving on the Mosquito Control Board and he has formal training as a Mosquito Control Board Commissioner. He is currently a member of both Florida Mosquito Control Association (FMCA) and the American Mosquito Control Association (AMCA).
As a member of these, he receives reports and up-to-date information, on a regular basis. Mr. Adams has been the chair of our MCB since 2019. During his tenure, he was instrumental in getting an educational specialist hired to bring educational programs to our schools, civic associations, and the community at-large. Educating the public is part of the mission of the MCB.
Prior to his service on this board, Joe Adams had financial responsibilities as the treasurer and business manager of IBEW U-8 and Local 433. Joe supports our community through his volunteer work with Citrus County Blessings and he serves on the Church Council for the Good Shepard Lutheran Church. Joe Adams is retired and invested in serving on the MCB.
